The proliferation of mobile phones and social media has enabled the creation and dissemination of local content, providing a platform for communities to showcase their cultural heritage. This paper explores the concept of "Local-Lihir-Koap-Home-Made-Video-Clip" as a means of preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Lihir community in Papua New Guinea. Through a qualitative research approach, this study examines the significance of local content creation in preserving cultural heritage and promoting community engagement.
