The term "repack" can be confusing. It is an official update or a sequel. Instead, it refers to a fan-made redistributed package of the game.

This is the gray area. The Tooi Kimi ni Boku wa Todokanai Repack is, technically, piracy. Liar-soft is still an active company (having released Sona-Nyl of the Violet Shadows in 2022).
