Old WASM builds had spotty controller mapping. The implements the W3C Gamepad API Level 4 , which includes:

The "N64-Wasm" project hasn't seen significant mainstream updates recently, but the technology backing it has evolved. The current gold standard for N64 on the web is RetroArch using the ParaLLEl or Mupen64Plus cores compiled to WebAssembly. Old WASM builds had spotty controller mapping
