: If the game still crashes after the intro, run any included .reg files to set valid resolution parameters.
This fix removes the CD check entirely. You no longer need to mount the ISO or keep the crack folder handy.
: If you're on Windows, try running the game in compatibility mode. Right-click the game's executable, go to Properties, then Compatibility, and select a previous version of Windows to run it in.
