For the Seekers, the work became moral and technical. Reintegrating the module risked reawakening a system that once centralized cultural taste. But leaving it dormant invited the city’s invisibility to grow. Mara’s gut told her the Curator could help rebuild public spaces if guided differently — not to prescribe joy, but to catalyze it.

She watched the glyph rearrange into a map — a map that implicated parts of the city she’d thought were gone: an old battery depot three blocks north, an abandoned tram tunnel under the market, the sealed vault beneath the Golden Mosaic Theater. Each node pulsed with a mild heat, like fingertips on glass. A final node blinked at the Amped itself, and the glyph formed a phrase: FIND THE CORE. Amped Five 13
