A kermes (or kermesse) is a traditional fair often organized by schools, churches, or community groups to raise funds. Activities include games, food stalls, raffles, and sometimes humorous “wedding booths” where two people pretend to get married for a laugh – for example, a child and their pet, two friends, or even two stuffed animals.
