Technically, Kanchana 2 raised the bar for the franchise. The visual effects and makeup used for the possession sequences were notably more advanced than its predecessors. The soundtrack by Leon James, C. Sathya, S. Thaman, and Ashwamitra featured catchy tunes and a background score that effectively amped up the tension during the jump scares.
